Scene Around Town: Concert 4 the Cure at Westhaven

Concert 4 the Cure is an annual fundraiser to benefit pediatric cancer founded by the Stacey Family. Each year the event takes place in the Westhaven Community of Franklin. This year’s event will took place on Saturday, September 8th on the Great Lawn at the Westhaven Resident’s Club, located at 401 Cheltenham Avenue, Franklin.

The concert schedule included local favorites Vic and the Spoils, Resurrection – A Journey Tribute Band and Fastball.

Proceeds from the Concert 4 the Cure will fund discovery grants at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Discovery grants provide seed funding for cancer researchers to pursue bold ideas in the lab that can lead to breakthrough discoveries in the fight against cancer. Findings from preliminary research supported by these grants are essential to obtain funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other federal agencies that grant millions every year to support cancer research.
