Brentwood Morning Rotary distributed 800 books at Tusculum Elementary School as part of Read Across America, a literacy support program.

Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books, and you can too! Incorporate these guides and activities to celebrate reading with young people.

Literacy is one of the core service projects of Brentwood Morning Rotary. Volunteers read to kids at Tusculum each month.

About Brentwood Morning Rotary
Brentwood Morning Rotary was chartered April 23, 1999. The Club meets each Tuesday at 7am at the City Cafe. The main objective of Rotary is service – in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.
