On Friday, Nov. 30, The Battle of Franklin Trust once again displayed luminaries at dusk to honor the casualties inflicted during the Battle of Franklin 154 years ago.
Due to inclement weather, many of the luminaries were displayed throughout Carnton and Carter House, as guests were welcome to walk through the historic homes. Reenactors and visitors gathered on the lawn of Carnton to hear names of nearly 2,000 casualties read aloud by volunteers. Battle of Franklin Trust CEO Eric A. Jacobson spoke on the impact that the battle had and continues to have on Franklin.
