Saturday’s Preds Plaza Party Cancelled

Predators Stanley Cup

The Preds Party in the Park outdoor viewing party scheduled for Game 2 of the 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday, April 14 has been cancelled due to forecasts of severe weather, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced.

Butch Spyridon, President and CEO, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp: “After consulting numerous weather models, as well as the Metro Office of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service, we believe it is in the best of interest of public safety to cancel Saturday’s outdoor viewing party. We apologize and encourage everyone to find a safe, indoor location to cheer on the Preds. We look forward to being back outside for viewing parties for future home playoff games. The only thing more important than bringing the Cup to Nashville is the safety of our Smashville citizens.”

On Thursday, April 12, Preds Party in the Park for Game 1 took place as scheduled, starting at 5:30 p.m. in advance of the 8:30 p.m. game. The outdoor viewing party was held at Music City Walk of Fame Park and included a large screen, a DJ, food trucks and kiosks and more. Take a look at a few photos from Thursday’s night game below.
