Santa’s Trees and Brookside Properties Make a Donation to Centennial High School

Many Williamson County families have made picking out the perfect fresh cut Christmas tree from Santa’s Trees an annual tradition. And those doing so from the tree lot at Walgreens on the corner of Cool Springs Blvd and Mallory Lane are also supporting Centennial High School.

Since 2008, Santa’s Trees and Brookside Properties have donated more than $15,000 to the school located just two miles from the lot. The donations have helped fund campus upgrades, beautification projects, tree plantings and more.

“Every customer who comes to see us has a smile on their face and is ready to celebrate the season,” said Santa’s Trees Owner Jim McLeod. “We love seeing local families each year and being a part of their tradition so it’s wonderful to give back to the community with these yearly donations.”

McLeod presented this year’s donation of $3,500 to Centennial High School Principal Chris Hames on Dec. 12. “Centennial High School is thankful for this long-standing partnership between Santa’s Trees, Brookside and Walgreens in support of Cougar Nation,” said Hames. “These funds help us support our students and also allow us to make improvements to our facility in ways that might not happen without the generous support of these community partners.”

Amy McDade, commercial property manager/affiliate broker at Brookside Properties and Bob Johnson, general manager at Walgreens, joined Hames and McLeod at the check presentation. “With the continued efforts of Santa’s Trees and the graciousness of Walgreens allowing the use of their parking area, we are thrilled to be able to contribute to Centennial High School another year,” said McDade. “We look forward to maintaining the tradition for many more years to come.”

The Santa’s Trees lot in Franklin opened to the public on Nov. 23 and will remain open until Dec. 24, unless they sell out of trees sooner. Products include garland, wreaths and a variety of fresh trees that are delivered weekly.

In addition to Centennial High School, Santa’s Trees donates to several Middle Tennessee schools annually, including Brentwood High School, Hillsboro High School, East Magnet School, Rutland Elementary, and Gladeville Elementary. To date, more than $250,000 has been donated.
