Salute to America Concert Benefits Operation Stand Down

Salute to America BUMC Concert

Brentwood United Methodist Church (BUMC) is hosting a “Salute to America” concert and ice cream social Sunday, June 29th at 6pm.

The BUMC Chancel and Chamber Choirs will perform “Sacred Harp,” “Zion’s Walls,” “Homeland,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and many more. The JoySound Orchestra will accompany the choirs. The Gospelshop Quartet will also perform and prior to the concert, familiar marches will be played by the Belmont Brass, composed of current and former Belmont University music students.

Immediately after the concert, attendees are invited to an ice cream social in the Family Life Center (gym) for ice cream and other goodies!

Admission to both the concert and ice cream social is a voluntary donation, which will be given to Operation Stand Down. Operation Stand Down (OSD) assists veterans and their families so that they can be self-sustaining and better connected to the community. OSD works with the homeless veteran population, as well as all honorably discharged veterans with employment opportunities, housing and more.
