It’s “pancake time” in Tennessee once again as the Rotary Club of Brentwood turns Brentwood Middle School into a pop-up pancake palace on Saturday, April 9th from 7:30 – 11:30am at Brentwood Middle School.
Partnering again with the pancake mix supplier for the landmark Chattanooga restaurant, Aretha Frankenstein’s, Rotarians will be cooking and serving thousands of thick and delicious pancakes. This event is a community tradition for the volunteers in the Rotary Club and the families of Brentwood – clowns and games were added several years ago for the kids and have proved to be a big hit, and the American Red Cross Blood Drive held in the neighboring gym gives the grown-ups an opportunity to replenish our local blood supply.
In addition to the Aretha Frankenstein’s pancakes, Rotarians will be serving Wampler’s Sausage, and Kroger, US Foods, Purity Dairy and Coca-Cola are also in-kind sponsors. The proceeds from this event are distributed to local charitable organizations and in the form of scholarships to area students via the Brentwood Rotary Club Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that has distributed over $500,000 within the community to date.
New this year will be a PANCAKE EATING CONTEST to be held at 11:00am with prizes for the winner who consumes the most Aretha Frankenstein’s pancakes within the five minute time limit. For table sponsorship or ticket information, contact any local noon Rotarian, or email this year’s Rotary Club of Brentwood President Linas Sudzius at [email protected]
