Robby Hopkins,country music singer/songwriter and winner of Nashville Rising Star Series 3 (www.nashvillerisingstar.com), was born in Spencer, Tennessee into a musically-rich family. He is recognized for his ease on stage and for his voice – compared to Vern Gosdin, Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, Randy Travis, & Ronnie Dunn – some of his favorite country greats. Robby’s grandmother taught him his first guitar chords when he was eight. He wrote his first song at age sixteen. Robby has won several awards including “Hot Songwriters to Watch” by the Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival in Gatlinburg, TN, and most recently — winner of Nashville Rising Star!
Robby has opened for country artists Randy Houser, Lauren Alaina, Craig Morgan, Aaron Tippin, music legend Gene Watson, and Travis Tritt. He’s co-billed with The Band Perry, Alan Jackson, and Miranda Lambert. He plays regularly at the renowned Bluebird Café in Nashville. On his first visit there, the host commented that he “stole the show”. WDVX Knoxville’s Writers Block show hosts named him the “Best of the Best”, and he was named “Best Country Artist” for the Chattanooga, TN area. Hopkins performs regularly at music venues, festivals, malls, restaurants, churches, television, radio, charity and private events.
