Road Projects You Should Know About

Below are some road projects in Williamson County you should be aware of.

  • Now through Wednesday, February 4th at 1pm, there will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.
  • Saturday, February 7th from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM and Sunday, February 8 from 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM, I-65 southbound will be closed at Exit 61 (SR 248/Peytonsville Road/ Goose Creek Bypass) to set bridge beams. Traffic will be diverted onto the ramps. The bridge over the interstate (SR 248) will also be closed to allow interstate traffic to maintain flow across the ramps. There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 northbound as needed for the setting of each beam.
  • Old Peytonsville Road will be closed for approximately eight months while crews build up the grade of the road and install a retaining wall. The portion that runs parallel to I-65, approximately ¼ mile, will be closed to motorists. Local traffic will have access to Old Peytonsville Road either from US 431 (Lewisburg Pike) or SR 248 (Peytonsville Road), but they won’t be able to drive through. The closure is tentatively scheduled to begin in February if crews are ready to move forward.
