‘The Road to the PGA Championship’ to Feature Temple Hills Club General Manager

Temple Hills Country Club’s General Manager Johan Kok will be featured on ‘The Road to the PGA Championship‘ on Sunday, July 27th on the Golf Channel. The show will air at 1 pm CT.

The CBS Sports special features a documentary-style look at eight competitors in the 96th PGA Championship, along with PGA teaching professionals who have guided three of the game’s current stars – Jason Dufner, Jordan Spieth and J.B. Holmes. The PGA teaching professionals profiled are Chuck Cook, the 1996 PGA Teacher of the Year, Cameron McCormick and Mike Kehoe.

The show debuts Sunday, July 27, with three separate rebroadcasts, beginning July 30. The special also chronicles the unique journey of PGA Professional National Champion Michael Block of Aliso Viejo, California, whose victory at the 47th PGA Professional National Championship was a springboard to earning a berth in the 96th PGA Championship. Highlighted by the strongest field in major championship golf, the 96th PGA Championship will be contested Aug. 7-10, at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

In addition to Block, four PGA club professionals who are competing at Valhalla are profiled in the program: Jamie Broce of Ottawa Hills, Ohio; Stuart Deane of Arlington, Texas; Aaron Krueger of Norwalk, Iowa and Johan Kok of Nashville, Tennessee. All five, including Block, will be making their PGA Championship debut.

The CBS special also focuses on two PGA members who are playing key roles in preparing Valhalla Golf Club for its third PGA Championship visit: PGA General Manager Keith Reese and PGA Head Professional Chris Hamburger.
