A Ravenwood High music educator and her students are beginning the 2024-25 school year as national finalists.
RHS choir director Rose Hellmers is a finalist for the American Prize in Conducting Dale Warland Award, and the RHS Honors Chamber Choir is a finalist for the American Prize in Choral Performance High School Division.
“I am so honored and excited to have been named a finalist for this award,” said Hellmers. “But more than that, I am proud of our wonderful students for their incredible achievement.”
The American Prize is a series of non-profit, national competitions designed to recognize and reward the very best in the performing arts in the US. The American Prize was founded in 2009 and is awarded annually.
