Restaurant News: Mangia, MAFIAoZA’s, Cheddar’s & Tupelo Honey

Cheddars

We have lots of  Williamson County restaurant news to tell you about. From moves to openings, there are lots of updates. It looks like it might make that decision of where to eat for dinner just a little more difficult in the coming months.

factory

MAFIAoZA’s Pizzeria and Neighborhood Pub announced back in March opening in The Factory with an open date of September.  It now looks like that date will be pushed back to October. So, while you won’t be able to enjoy pizza during Pilgrimage Festival, it will be available shortly afterwards. Who else is hoping that they will open that rooftop seating area?

Cheddars

Construction on the former Cozymel location that will now become a Cheddar’s is underway.  We spoke to a representative who told us the Brentwood location will not be ready to open until the end of the year. We don’t have an exact date yet but will update when we receive one.

Tupelo Honey

Tupelo Honey first announced a Franklin location back in March. We stopped by the construction site this week to take a look around.  Located in Meridian Cool Springs, the new Tupelo Honey location is set to open on Monday, October 5th. Looks like we will have another patio spot to put on our fall list as Tupelo Honey plans to have seating for 50 outside.

Mangia

Mangia is on the Move- Yes,the first pop-up restaurant in Williamson County which opened in 2011. Owned and operated by Nick Pellegrino who currently operates Mangia on Friday and Saturday night at the Cool Cafe on Hillsboro Road in Franklin will now be operating at the corner of Craighead Street and Franklin Pike in late winter or early spring.  Better go check it out now before it moves.  It will be a dinner to remember for sure!
