The City of Brentwood has spent the entire year celebrating its 50th year as an incorporated municipality throughout 2019. After a successful parade and community festival at Crockett Park, the final community event is planned for Thursday, October 10 at 6pm in the evening at Ravenswood Mansion located at 1825 Wilson Pike, Brentwood.
The Rendezvous at Ravenswood will feature Tyrone Smith and the highly energetic 12-piece band “Super T” as the evening entertainment. Super T is one of the top dance & show bands throughout the southeast. The band performs a range of music including Soul, Motown, Funk and Classic Rock and know how to entertain an audience. They have performed at numerous special events, including the wedding of President George Bush’s daughter, Jenna Bush, in Texas.
The 50th Steering Committee, appointed by the Brentwood Mayor and City Commissioners is planning the ticketed only event. Event Co-Chairs are Linda Hirsch, Paula Uhlir and Shelley Alexander. “The evening event, at the setting of one of the most fabulous historic homes in Brentwood, will culminate a year-long celebration of this community we all love,” Hirsch said. “We hope everyone will plan to attend and celebrate with friends,” Hirsch added.
Tickets for the Rendezvous at Ravenswood are $125 and includes live music, dancing and dinner by Dream Events and Catering featuring an array of gourmet food and Ravenswood Mansion specific desserts such as Emmeline’s Dream, Lucy’s Lavender Lemon Curd Tartelettes, and Marcella’s Maple Whiskey Blondie Bar. A limited number of event tickets are available for purchase online or in person at Brentwood City Hall, located at 5211 Maryland Way. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted at City Hall.
Event sponsors which include presenting sponsor, Tractor Supply Company, and Platinum Sponsors Andrews Cadillac, Brentwood Academy, Brookdale and LBMC, and many others will be among some of the evening’s featured guests. Also, Pennington Distillery has graciously donated Pickers Vodka, and their award winning Tennessee Whiskey. They will offer a signature drink for the evening and Master Distiller Carter Collins will hold a whiskey tasting.
To commemorate the 50th celebration, several memorabilia items are available for purchase which include, a custom watercolor map print of historic Brentwood landmarks, T-shirts printed with the historic map, as well as a limited number of event specific T-shirts and a popular memoir written by a Brentwood native.
