Renaissance High Wins at First Statewide SkillsUSA Competition

Renaissance High

Renaissance High’s first showing at the Statewide SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference was a huge success.

The conference, held in Chattanooga March 31 through April 1, brought students from around the state to compete in various events to showcase their skills and earn medals. Renaissance High students placed in three of the competitions.

SkillsUSA aims to empower its members to become excellent leaders and workers by teaching personal, workplace and technical skills.

“At Renaissance, our goal has always been to excel in the three areas that make up our creative academies: apps, arts and audio,” said RNHS Principal Dr. Brian Bass. “This was our first year competing in SkillsUSA, and our students’ success in this statewide competition is an affirmation of their dedication, talent and creativity.”

Congratulations to the following students:

Abi Jones and Micha Steinborn – Audio/Radio Production, Silver Medal
Davis Moore and Declan Daly – Digital Cinema Production, Silver Medal
Isaac Corder – Advertising Design, Bronze Medal
