Relax on Your Lunch Hour at Mediterranean Cuisine

Mediterranean Cuisine is an intimate restaurant at 214 Ward Circle in the Maryland Farms area. Don’t let the small sign or generic restaurant name fool you. This restaurant packs a punch when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine. They don’t need a fancy name with the amazing food they serve.

mediterranean-cuisineThese days, everyone is always on the go and getting a fast meal, especially at lunchtime, is sometimes a must. If you are in a hurry, for lunch or dinner, this is a great place to stop and eat or get a meal to go. They’ll have your food ready in no time and the portions and quality of food are so good, you’ll fill satisfied. However, once you dip a piece of warm pita bread into their fresh hummus, you’ll find yourself slowing down and wanting to relish every bit of their delicious cuisine.

Dining in at Mediterranean Cuisine can be a treat with their wonderful deck out back, overlooking a pond, usually full of geese. Sitting on the deck, enjoying a delicious gyro platter, tabbouleh, rice and don’t forget their decadent tiramisu, is a great way to enjoy an often-rushed lunch hour. After one visit, you’ll be hooked!

As the name implies, Mediterranean Cuisine specializes in Greek food, but if you’re new to Greek food or not sure if you’ll like it, I recommend stopping by, because the owner and staff are extremely friendly and always eager to help patrons make a choice by explaining what everything on the menu is.

All of the dishes are wonderful, but the platters, which come with chicken or lamb, are a great lunch or dinner option. Platters are under $8 and come with rice, meat, a small side salad and a side of hummus with pita bread. They are a great way to try a little bit of everything!
