Youth basketball leagues teach kids fundamental basketball skills while emphasizing fun and important character values such as caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, which are foundations for having a well-rounded, healthy child.

There’s no better place for your child to play youth basketball than the Y. After all, YMCA helped invent the sport with the help of James Naismith, who was working for the YMCA International Training School in Massachusetts. Today, YMCA continues to be a leader in promoting health and fitness for all ages from children to seniors by offering fitness classes and sports programs across the United States. Locally, YMCA continues to thrive with growing locations despite the growth of for-profit gyms. They do this by staying connected with the community and staying hands-on with the children.

Registration for the above youth basketball programs is open until 11:59pm Sept 11th. For more information on the youth basketball programs or other youth sports programs offered at the YMCA, click here.
