The Brentwood boys basketball team took the Class AAA region six title from Hunters Lane 65-31 Thursday night at Glen Cliff High School.

It was never even close, as four Bruins (30-2) scored in double figures and made as a team 11 three pointers to Hunter Lane’s one.

“We forced multiple turnovers that led to scores,” Dennis King, BHS head coach, said.

He also said nothing was going to stop his two leading scorers.

And they would be: Seniors Andy Schumpert and Jacob Addock, who each scored 14 points.

Jalen Lawson scored nine of his 11- three 3-pointers- in a first quarter which the Bruins absolutely dominated.

BHS shot 9 for 11 and like a bullet to a 24-4 after those first eight minutes. It didn’t take nearly that, however, before it became clear the Bruins were going to win a seventh straight game and fourth straight regional title.

Brentwood advances to sectionals, and will host Kenwood on Monday night.
