We asked you to nominate your favorite hair stylist in Williamson County. Today, we feature one of the readers top nominees- Lisa Asselin at Ecco Salon.
Lisa Asselin is the owner of Ecco Salon located at 341 Main Street in downtown Franklin. Enrolling in hair school at the age of 16, Lisa has always maintained a full clientele. At one point Lisa had a salon in California and Tennessee but eventually decided “her heart belonged in Tennessee.”
“I adore Franklin, both for it’s historical significance and for the way everyone knows and supports one another,” Lisa says. “It is truly the epitome of a small southern town combined with the hipness and ‘melting pot’ attitude of a large city.”
Here are five things you need to know about Lisa.
How did you get started being a stylist?
I have been a hairdresser since I was 16-years-old but have been doing hair ever since I could remember probably as a ten year old child I had fashion and beauty all around me.
What made you want to be a stylist?
My father was a very accomplished barber. I have just always had a deep love for hairdressing. I moved from Los Angeles 8 yrs ago and fell in love with Franklin and can’t imagine being anywhere else.
Can’t live without product?
I love everything from Davines but my can’t live without is – LOVE. shampoo and conditioner
Trends you see for fall?
Trends I see are golden woodsey browns, ambers and hints of honey colored hair. Edgy short bobs are definitely a trend as well.
Style Icon?
I dont really think I have one style icon rather I see hundreds of people walk past my window everyday. I am so inspired with people. I get excited and feel inspired with the modern women and ever changing styles that I’m so fortunate to experience daily.
