Ravenwood’s Wesley Horky is Under Armour All-American

Ravenwood High School football is making headlines once again.  Wesley Horky received the Under Armour All-American honor and was chosen to be a part of the All-American team this year at Tropicana Field.

Horky was honored by Ravenwood at 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.  Coach Will Hester was there to join in the ceremony and chime in on Horky’s proud efforts towards the great achievement.

Under Armour works with ESPN to select 90 of the best high school football players in the country.  There are roughly 2 million of these athletes around the US, and Horky being chosen to be on this team is one huge honor.

Horky is a senior at Ravenwood and will be graduating in 2014 to the college of his choice.  As of right now, Horky says he’s undecided where he will be attending, thus far.

Not only is the award athletically based, but attributes to Horky’s success in the classroom and outreach in the community.

The 2014 Under Armour All- American game will be held January 2nd at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL and will be televised on ESPN.
