Fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns by Ravenwood’s Andrew Mason and Nick Stallcup led Ravenwood to a 31-17 win agains Kentucky’s South Warren High, spoiing the Spartans’ perfect season.
The opportunistic Raptors set up those touchdowns with a blocked punt, as well as a fumble recovery by linebacker Anthony McCarthy.
Ravenwood (6-2) led 10-7 at half, but South Warren scored the first 10 points of the second half.
But the Raptors fought back as Jordan Smith dashed 45 yards for a fourth-quarter score, the point-after tying the game.
Ravenwood, riding a two-game winning streak, has next Friday off, then travels to Fairview on Oct. 20.
This was Ravenwood’s homecoming.
