Ravenwood is now 3-0 in its season and stole a win from LaVergne last night. The Raptors traveled over to Wolverine turf to take a 30-27 win.
Senior Avery Jankowski passed for 192 yards and gave the Raptors two touchdowns. Van Jefferson joined Jankowski in stats for the night. Jefferson brought in one touchdown for Ravenwood to tie up the game and had 11 catches for 125 yards.
The game tumbled into overtime, but the Raptors pulled through with a TD by Austin Percy. To make note, head coach Will Hester had spent quite some time coaching over at LaVergne before making his way to Williamson County. Ultimately, this was a big game for the Raptors to take the “W”.
Ravenwood has been dominating throughout the season and will face rival Independence next week.
The Eagles lost their first game of the season to Beech last night and will bring their season record to 3-1.
