Thanks to 275 passing yards from Brian Garcia, Ravenwood racked up 517 yards of total offense in a 42-27 road win over Fairview on Friday evening.

The Raptors clung to a one-point, second-half lead, but scores by Jordan Smith (17 carries, 101 yards, two touchdowns) and Jared McArthur (four catches, 44 yards) helped Ravenwood put things out of reach.

The Yellowjackets were led by star running back Darius James, who carried 19 times for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Fairview’s Kam Harris-Lusk added seven carries for 77 yards and a score.

Garcia was 19-of-29 passing with two touchdowns and one interception.

Ravenwood’s Anthony Holmes got the Raptors on the board first with a touchdown, followed by kicker Sam French’s point-after.

Fairview’s Khristian Harris-Lusk helped the Yellowjackets tie the game with a 10-yard scoring run with 5:40 left in the first quarter.

Ravenwood’s Nick Stallcup (four catches, 85 yards), with the help of another French point-after, tied the game at 14 later with a touchdown run early in the second quarter.

Fairview had 324 yards of offense, but just 13 first downs.

It was an ugly game in some ways, with Ravenwood penalized 10 times for 105 yards, and Fairview, 11 for 115.

Ravenwood (7-2) hosts Independence next week, and Fairview hosts Cheatham County.
