Ravenwood Takes Second Win of the Season over Clarksville

Williamson County Football

By: Amber Pennycuff

Ravenwood won its second game of the season, defeating Clarksville 46-0 at home last night.

The Raptors Avery Jankowski threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns for Ravenwood.  Jankowski has been a key player so far this year, and from what we’ve seen, he will continue to be.

Also making big plays, senior Will Johnson was incredibly influential in stopping Clarksville from scoring and had a fumble recovery to contribute to Ravenwood’s big win.

Coach Will Hester made his debut last week at home winning his first game of the season against Stewarts Creek (55-6).  Brand new to Ravenwood High School, Hester is certainly making his mark in the program and starting out the season strong.

Clarksville lost its home opener last week, falling short to Goodpasture (21-22).  They will take on Rossview next week, who has won big against Hillsboro and McGavock these past two weeks.

Ravenwood will be idle next week but will reignite to take on LaVergne in Week 4.  Hester spent quite a few years coaching at LaVergne, and it will make for an interesting game in the Raptors horizons.

We will keep you updated on Ravenwood and other schools around Williamson County throughout the 2013 football season!
