Ravenwood High School will host its eighth annual Ravenwood Runway Fashion Show April 30. This year’s show titled First Class Fashion will feature designs from students in Sabrina Maggart’s fashion design classes. Collections will include major fashion capitals like Paris, New York and Milan.
A total of 67 designers will be involved in this year’s Ravenwood Runway fashion show along with approximately 120 models. The main show winner and the private collection winner will each receive a trophy, a $1,000 scholarship from door proceeds, a $5,000 scholarship from O’More College of Design and an all-expense paid trip to fashion camp at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Both second place winners will receive trophies and $3,000 from O’More College of Design. The third place winners will receive a trophy and a $1,000 prize from O’More.
To make the show a success, the fashion design students collaborated with RHS student photographers to produce Threads, the Ravenwood Runway Lookbook. Threads will hit newsstands April 24, and the magazine showcases many outfits featured in the fashion show.
The RHS Fashion Show will take place Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Ravenwood Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10. Ravenwood High School is located at 1724 Wilson Pike in Brentwood.
