Ravenwood High School Choir Performs in New York City

While most spent Thanksgiving break with family, a group of Ravenwood High students spent their Thanksgiving  celebrating in the Big Apple.

On Wednesday, the Ravenwood High School Choir set out on their journey to New York City.  Delayed at the Nashville airport for hours based on flight cancellations, they finally departed on Wednesday evening.  During their time in  New York, the students enjoyed the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, Times Square, Carnegie Deli, and the moment they had been waiting for -performing at Lincoln Center on Sunday, November 30th.

Ravenwood High School Choir was invited to perform in the Distinguished Concerts International’s concert of Handel’s “Messiah”.   Messiah…Refreshed was named by the BBC Music magazine as the #1 live event for Christmas in North America.   Ravenwood High School was the only high school chorus  selected to take part in the event.
