Ravenwood High’s flag football coach is the Tennessee Titans 2025 Flag Football Coach of the Year.
Ricky Rodriguez was surprised with the announcement on July 17. The recognition comes after the Ravenwood High girls flag football team won the inaugural flag football State invitational in the spring.
“I honestly had very little to do with our accomplishments,” Rodriguez said. “It is those girls who deserve all the recognition. The 2025 RHS flag football team will go down in history. As long as this sport is played in our great state of Tennessee, only one will be remembered as the first ever State champion.”
Rodriguez looks forward to what the next year and season holds.
“These student-athletes are the reason we do what we do as educators,” he said. “I look forward to continuing to be an advocate for our amazing sport.”
