Rabies Reported in Tennessee, Animal Center Holding Rabies Clinics

The Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC), continues its community rabies clinics for county residents on Saturday, April 9 at: Centennial High; Lipscomb Elementary; Hunters Bend Elementary; Hillsboro Middle; Longview Elementary; and Winstead Elementary.

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed rabies in three wild animals and five pet dogs and cats during the first three months of 2016. Tennessee law requires that all cats and dogs must be vaccinated. Protecting pets from this fatal illness is safe, easy and effective.

All WCAC clinics are from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The $10 fee includes a one-year shot and a required collar tag. Bring cash or check, please. No credit or debit cards accepted.1

April 16: Chapman’s Retreat Elementary; Franklin High; Page Middle; Fairview Elementary; Crockett Elementary.

April 23: Edmondson Elementary; Brentwood Middle; Oakview Elementary; Walnut Grove Elementary; Independence High; Nolensville Elementary; Fox Grocery in Leiper’s Fork.

April 30: Williamson County Animal Center, 106 Claude Yates Dr., Franklin. This location will also offer microchips for $15 additional.
