Williamson County is a leader in attracting business development. This trend is easily illustrated in the Second Quarterly Report released last week. Mars Petcare tops the stories with a look at what the new research and development center which broke ground on May 22nd in Thompson’s Station.
The facility is a first for North America and one of only 5 in the global arena. Pets are an intrinsic part of the American lifestyle and Tennessee is a pet loving state. The new facility will include pet food laboratories, small scale production testing, and a pet health and nutrition center. Research will help our pets lead a happier, healthier life through on-site monitoring of pets in realistic home environments.
Mars has been a part of Williamson County for years and continues to find this the ideal place for work life balance. The five principles that guide Mars are Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom, all highly regarded traits in our communities. The new facility will bring 144 jobs once the campus is complete.
