Puckett's

Puckett’s Boat House is bringing back its popular wine tasting and food pairing series “Uncorked,” a unique educational event that allows guests to learn about the wine selection process from the restaurant’s brand sommelier. The first series event will take place on Tuesday, April 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m at 94 East Main Street, Franklin with cocktails and conversation beginning at 6 p.m.

The spring session entitled “Passport to Patio” is designed to inspire guests to embrace warm weather and enjoy the outdoors with friends and family. Guests will be able to use the tips they learn at Uncorked to bring international culture, flavor and history to their own gatherings and patio parties.

A. Marshall Hospitality Sommelier Jenn McCarthy said that hosting “Uncorked” at the Boat House is truly a special experience.

“With the coastal ambiance, vast wine selection and intimate class setting, it is the perfect opportunity for a fun evening out,” McCarthy said. “I look forward to leading this month’s session and introducing wine selections suited for spring.”

The “Passport to Patio” food tasting notes include the following pairings:

Sparkling Malbec – Smoked oysters on the half shell, topped with roasted garlic chimichurri
Rosé – Roasted summer vegetable raviolo w/ herb
Pinot Noir – Balsamic-braised chicken thighs, mushrooms, cipollini onions
Malbec – Flat iron medallions w/ porcini, coffee crust; chile roasted cauliflower

Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online. The class is limited to 20 seats, so guests are encouraged to buy tickets in advance.
