Puckett’s Raises Over $2,000 for Williamson County CASA

A. Marshall Foods - Williamson County CASA

A. Marshall Family Foods presented a check for $2,080 to the Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). During the month of October, Puckett’s Gro. and Restaurant in downtown Franklin and Puckett’s Boat House sold a combined total of 104 tickets for the organization’s 2017 Playhouse raffle.

Rachel Layton, Marketing Director for A. Marshall Family Foods, along with Marketing & Community Relations Associate Lindsay Curtis and Kelton Gothard, a manager at Puckett’s Boat House, presented a check to Marianne Schroer, Executive Director of Williamson County CASA and its Director of Development, Ondrea Johnson.

“We are always overjoyed to have the opportunity to give back to this incredible organization,” said Layton. “The work that CASA does for vulnerable children in our community is invaluable and truly impacts lives.”

Williamson County CASA is a nonprofit organization that provides volunteers to advocate in court on behalf of children who are in situations of neglect or abuse. In an effort to raise funds each year, the local Williamson County CASA branch sells raffle tickets for a playhouse donated by local partners. This year’s playhouse was designed and built by Franklin Firefighters Charities and was raffled off during Pumpkinfest in Franklin on Oct. 28.

During the month of October, diners were able to purchase raffle tickets for just $10 each from either restaurant to be entered in the drawing to win the Playhouse. Tickets are normally sold for $20, and A. Marshall Family Foods covered the remaining $10 for each ticket purchased.
