It’s National Burger Month! It’s also a holiday weekend so while planning where to go and what to do, the big question is where to eat this weekend. You might want to try a Puckett’s burger.
USA Today traveled the country looking for the biggest burgers that could inspire your next cookout or be the inspiration for your next road trip. From the Beer Belly Buster at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Pennsylvania weighing in at 15 pounds to the breakfast burger found at BURGERFI’s (locations across the country) including an Angus patty, a fried egg, hash brown, bacon, grilled onions, American cheese, maple syrup and ketchup.
But the one that USA Today says is “worth a mention” is the Puckett’s Mojo Burger. USA Today described it as, “weighs in at just under a pound, but it’s topped with a mound of slow ‘n’ low cherry-smoked BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, cheddar cheese and pickles, with a drizzle of BBQ Ranch sauce.” In 2013, Puckett’s let us get a behind-the-scenes look at how the Mojo Burger is made. Watch the video above.
Still on the quest for the best burger? Visit The National Burger Festival held in Akron, Ohio on August 8th -9th where The Melt will attempt to create the largest cheese in the Guinness Book history in the shape of a giant cheeseburger. Anyone craving a burger yet?
