Those who are not quite ready to spend hours preparing another elaborate meal are in luck: Puckett’s Grocery and Puckett’s Boat House are offering folks a second chance to avoid holiday cooking by accepting to-go catering orders as well as reservations for Christmas Eve.
Now until Sunday, Dec. 18; catering orders can be placed online or by phone for pick-up at Puckett’s Gro. in downtown Nashville; Puckett’s Gro. in downtown Columbia; or Puckett’s Gro. and Puckett’s Boat House, both in downtown Franklin.
Puckett’s to-go menu boasts classic favorites such as smoked spiral ham; broccoli and rice casserole; corn pudding; cranberry relish and more. Puckett’s award-winning barbecue –including smoked beef brisket, cherry wood smoked pulled pork and smoked baby back ribs — adds a touch of Southern flair to any meal and is also on the catering menu, as well as an assortment of cobblers and pies. Known for its Southern twist on seafood favorites, Puckett’s Boat House’s catering menu includes a variety of non-traditional holiday options including chicken and sausage jambalaya; gumbo; and pineapple casserole. The restaurant’s signature oyster dressing; white cheddar whiskey grits; key lime pie and carrot cake are also available, among other offerings. Each restaurant’s hours on Christmas Eve will vary by location, and reservations are recommended for all. Puckett’s Gro. in Nashville will be open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. and serving from the full menu. Puckett’s Gro. in Columbia and Franklin will be open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. and serving from the breakfast and lunch menus only. Puckett’s Boat House will open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will only offer its brunch buffet for $17.99 per person.
