Predators Take Down Stars

preds vs stars

The Nashville Predators started a four-game homestand on Tuesday night as the Dallas Stars came to town for the fourth and final meeting between the two sides this season. The game turned out to be a tight, penalty-filled contest but the Predators ultimately picked up a franchise-record ninth straight win with a 2-0 victory.

The game was scoreless through 45 minutes of play, but Ryan Hartman was able to break the draw scoring in his home debut in the third period while Pekka Rinne picked up the 50th shutout of his career and seventh on the season. The Finnish netminder stopped 26 shots on Tuesday night.

The Predators had scored at least three goals in each of their last eight games prior to Tuesday night, but all it took against the Stars was two and a dominant performance in goal.
