Two of Tennessee’s high school soccer powerhouses squared off Tuesday night at Brentwood High School with the Bruins defeating the Franklin Rebels 1-0.
Franklin is coming off back-to-back Class AAA state titles (2013 and 2014) while Brentwood won the championship in 2012.
Losses have obviously not been common for these two programs.

Brentwood handed them one Tuesday thanks to a Will Howard goal off a rebounded shot with 13:30 remaining in the first half.
Bruin goalkeeper James Scholl also had a great deal to do with the victory, thwarting multiple scoring chances for Franklin throughout the match.
Brentwood and Franklin each move on to home games April 2, the Bruins against Dickson County and the Rebels against Summit. Both games are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
