UPDATE 12:44PM FRI, SEPT 27 I65 South between 840 and Saturn Pkway has one lane open now.
Due to a wreck Friday, Sept 27, I-65 South between 840 and Saturn Parkway is closed. Traffic is being diverted onto I-840 West to Columbia Pike. Traffic will travel southbound on Highway 31 until Saturn Parkway. Drivers may return to I-65 South off of Saturn Parkway, reports Williamson County Rescue Squad.
According to TDOT SmartWay, the scene happened around mile marker 57 at 9 a.m. on Sept 27 and is expected to be clear by 3pm. Northbound traffic is affected with shoulder blocked – inside.
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says the crash was caused by a car driving the wrong way going at a high-rate of speed on the interstate, reports WSMV.
