Pork Belly Farmhouse will host its inaugural “Nourish Our Neighbors” Wine Dinner on Tuesday, December 18, beginning at 6 p.m. This exclusive event will feature fine wine and unique food pairings with 50% of the event’s proceeds benefiting the Nolensville Food Pantry. A limited number of 40 tickets are on sale now and can be purchased onsite at Pork Belly Farmhouse located at 7263 Nolensville Road in Nolensville.
“We’re honored to partner with Nolensville Food Pantry for our first annual ‘Nourish Our Neighbors’ wine dinner,” said Chris Chwirut and Kristian Morgan, owners Pork Belly Farmhouse. “We’re big believers in their mission to feed the hungry, and we look forward to the community celebrating the holiday season with us for this great cause.”
Each presentation featured at “Nourish Our Neighbors” will be accompanied by a curated wine list, designed to complement the night’s meal. The inaugural evening is slated to begin with a selection of hors d’oeuvres, including Beet Cured Salmon Belly, Lightly Smoked Oysters, and Quail Egg & Scallop Benedict, accompanied by a selection of sparkling wines, including Domaine Carneros Cuvee De La Pompadour Brut Rose, and Louis Jadot Bourgogne Blanc 2016. The starter course will consist of Seared Mustard Pork Cheek, paired with a St Francis Sonoma County 2015 Pinor Noir.
The evening’s main course of Spiced Short Rib will be paired with Mullan Road Cellars Columbia Valley Red Wine Blend 2014. Pastry Chef Megan Alexander offers a Spiced White Chocolate Opera Torte, paired with Poema Cava Dulce Metodo Tradicional, for dessert. The event’s complete menu is available here.
“Nourish Our Neighbors” is a new collaboration between Nolensville Food Pantry and Pork Belly Farmhouse owners Chwirut and Morgan. The duo’s first restaurant, Pork Belly Café, frequently contributes to non-profits through various activities.
