A popular Nashville eatery and food truck will be opening a downtown Franklin location sometime next year.

The owners of the Grilled Cheeserie, which has a food truck and a shop on Belcourt Avenue in Nashville, confirmed to the Nashville Business Journal Monday that they will move into 334 Main Street.

Joseph Bogan and wife Crystal De Luna-Bogan started the truck-turned-restaurant, but are under the franchise umbrella of Fresh Hospitality, which bought the downtown property last year.

Previously the home of HeyDay gift store and Inspirations on Main, records filed by Fresh Hospitality with the city of Franklin showed that there were plans to put one of its 18 restaurant brands there since last January, but which one it would not say until Bogan confirmed it to the NBJ today.

The Grilled Cheeserie, which features gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and other melts, has been on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They were also featured on The Cooking Channel’s Eat St., voted Best Food Truck in The Nashville Scene and The Tennessean six years running, and were listed #3 on Mobile-Cuisine’s 2015 Top 10 Most Influential Food Trucks,  #7 on thedailymeal.com’s 101 Best Food Trucks in America in 2015, and were recently honored with the 2016 Chairman’s Award for Small Businesses by the Nashville Business Incubation Center.

Fresh Hospitality is the parent company for 18 restaurant brands, such as The Grilled Cheeserie, Biscuit Love, which is opening a new location in downtown Franklin, I Love Juice Bar, Martin’s BBQ, Panini Petes, Taziki’s, Big Bad Breakfast, Cochon Butcher, Tellini’s Italiano, Little Donkey, Saigon Noodle House and more. The company has recently been expanding its presence south of Nashville. Martin’s BBQ announced a Spring Hill location and an I Love Juice Bar recently opened in Spring Hill.

  1. Locally run business is perfect for that area? Not sure I get the tourist comment. I mean I’m a local who loves to support local businesses. ?!
