Pat Martin, proprietor of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, has built a reputation of serving some of the best barbecue in town. Now he’s focusing on expanding his burger brand – called Hugh Baby’s – and he’s got his eyes on Columbia for a new restaurant.

Last year, the first Hugh-Baby’s opened on Charlotte Avenue in Nashville and a second recently opened on West End Ave in Nashville.

Martin is working towards opening two more Hugh-Baby’s, reports Nashville Business Journal. The first in the One Hundred Oaks area of Nashville and the second in Columbia.

An exact Columbia location has not been disclosed yet.

About Hugh-Baby’s

Simplicity is the name of the game for Hugh-Baby’s. The restaurant prides itself on a small, simple, straightforward menu.

“Our menu is our spin on a classic small town Southern BBQ and burger shop,” states their site.

The menu offers six burger options (including their special Slugburger only available on Fridays. It consists of ground pork and soy meal deep-fried and served with pickles, chopped onions and mustard), four sandwich choices, four types of hot dogs and two choices of fries. Menu items range in price from around $3 to $6.
