Plans for a Second Dunkin’ Donuts in Spring Hill Goes Before Planners

A second Dunkin’ Donuts has been proposed for the Spring Hill area.

On Monday night at the Municipal Planning Commission’s work session, planners discussed a proposed Dunkin’ Donuts at 4885 Port Royal Road. A Dunkin’ Donuts currently sits at 2098 Wall St. An earlier version of this plan was proposed in April. The plan gained the approval of the Board of Zoning and Appeals for off-site parking on May 30th. An earlier plan did not receive approval

Located on a nearly one-acre lot, the plans submitted by design firm LEAD Land Engineering and Development shows a 1,850-square foot drive-thru restaurant in the Reserve commercial subdivision. Dunkin’ Donuts has an agreement with Kroger, which is adjacent to the site, to put a restaurant on this site. Parking will be off-site. Planners will likely vote on the plans on Monday, July 10.

The property is zoned B-4, Central Business District, and contains approximately .919 acres.

Planning staff members recommended approval given the developer build a sidewalk along Port Royal Road in front of the proposed restaurant.
