The City of Franklin announced that Pinkerton Park will be closed from Monday, September 8, through Friday, September 12, to allow for major repair work. Crews will be milling, making spot repairs, paving, and striping both entrances and parking lots along Highway 96.
For safety reasons, the park and canoe launch will remain closed during the project. Alternate river access points are available at Ladd Park, Eastern Flank, and Harlinsdale.
City officials noted that the full closure will allow crews to finish the work more quickly and reopen the park sooner.
