Downtown Franklin Hosts Hours of Free Music Before Pilgrimage Festival

Pilgrimage Festival has partnered with Visit Franklin and the Downtown Franklin Association to host a free pre-Pilgrimage music event Friday, Sept 21 (the day before Pilgrimage Festival begins at Harlinsdale Farm).

It’s called Pilgrimage’s Music on Main & Beyond and it takes place 1:30 p – 8:30 p in various venues in downtown Franklin.

The musicians who will perform during the inaugural event entered the #playatpilgrimage contest. Jack Berry was chosen as the winner and will play on the Millville stage Sunday at 4:40p. Pilgrimage Festival Co-founder Brandt Wood went to Berry’s home to tell him the good news. Watch below.

Twenty-five contest runner-ups have been selected to perform at Music on Main & Beyond.

“Music on Main & Beyond will be a great way for festival attendees to kick off their weekend of music. There will be free, live music throughout Franklin so attendees can enjoy live music while experiencing Franklin’s incredible dining scene,” says Ellie Westman Chin, President & CEO, Visit Franklin said in a release.

Just a few tickets remain to Pilgrimage Festival taking place on September 21-22 at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin. Headliners for two-day event include Jack White, Lionel Richie, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds. Purchase tickets online here.
