Pilgrimage Festival 2015 was held in September at Harlinsdale Farm. The inaugural music festival brought together music, food, families, and a bazaar area that could be hard to beat a second time around.
But if you didn’t make it out for the festival, you are in luck. Pilgrimage 2016 has a tentative date of September 24th and September 25th at Harlinsdale Farm.
According to Franklin City Administrator Eric Stukey, Pilgrimage Festival has submitted an application for the 2016 event. Based on the application, it appears that the 2016 festival will be similar in size to 2015 event. Approval for the application will take place at the Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting on January 26th.
If you missed last year’s event, the lineup included: Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Chris Stapleton, Will Hoge, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Band of Horses, Cage the Elephant, and Wilco, just to name a few. One of our favorites from the Little Pilgrim stage was Emi Sunshine.
Pilgrimage Festival was birthed by local Kevin Griffin, Brandt Wood, and Michael Whelan who wanted to offer a diverse yet renowned lineup of rock and roll, alt-country, bluegrass, jazz, indie, gospel and more.
Each day, the Pilgrimage Festival started at 10 am and ending at 8pm so that guests could conveniently head back into the heart of downtown Franklin, within walking distance from the Park at Harlinsdale, to imbibe the best of the town’s restaurants, shops, and great weekend lineup of nighttime shows.
