Pie in the Sky

The last Middle Tennessee Pie in the Sky location in Lenox Village closed October 16, 2017.

A sign was placed on the door stating, “After 10 wonderful years of serving Lenox Village, Pie in the Sky Pizza has decided to close our doors Monday, October 16, 2017. We would like to thank our fine team members for all of your hard work and the good people of Nashville for your patronage. It has been our honor to be a part of this community. Thank You, Caroline and Kelly Black.” Pie in the Sky

In 2001, Kelly and Caroline Black opened the Cool Springs location of Pie in the Sky located at 1770 Galleria Boulevard, Franklin. That location closed in 2015 and was reopened as an upscale dining establishment- The Honeysuckle, also owned by Black.

After the opening of the Cool Springs restaurant, two more followed. One in Lenox Village and one in Midtown on Lyle Avenue. The Lyle Avenue location closed and reopened as The Row.

On the Pie in the Sky website, it states, “It’s been 17 years since we opened our doors and thanks to you it’s been AMAZING. We look forward to serving our famous pizza real soon at our new location -TBA.”

The description of the pizzeria says, ” Founders, Kelly and Caroline Black, envisioned creating a truly unique “Nashville-style” pizza; worthy of the praise previously reserved for the big city pizzas of New York and Chicago. The secret to Pie In The Sky’s award-winning, unique taste is using only the most fresh, highest-quality ingredients and processes from start to finish. ”
