Coming off their regional title game loss, Page comes home to open the playoffs against the East Hamilton Hurricanes. The Hurricanes are coming in at 6-4 overall and finished 4-2 Region 3-4A. The host Patriots sit at 7-3 and wrapped up the regular season at 4-1 in Region 4-4A.

Balanced Offense Pushes Page

The Patriots have averaged nearly 32 points per game offensively this year. Page has used both the ground game and aerial attack to put points on the board. Through the air, Michael Magochy has averaged 204 yards per game through the air with an 18 touchdown to 1 interception ratio. Magochy’s top targets this year have been Connor Morss, Michael Roberts, and Trevor Johnson. Morss leads in the Patriots in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Morss has 37 catches for 496 yards and 5 touchdowns. Roberts has added 23 catches, 455 yards, and 3 touchdowns, while Johnson has caught 22 passes for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Patriots ground game has averaged over 141 yards per game. They have been led by all-purpose back Michael Roberts, who has 877 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. Dillon Myers has added 172 yards and 3 touchdowns. Michael Magochy has been able to run for 152 yards and 6 touchdowns for Page. The Patriots have also been able to win the turnover margin two-to-one on the year. Against a Hurricane team that has given up less than 17 points per game, Page will look to take advantage of their balance and talent against East Hamilton.

Turnovers Key Page Defensive Success

Page has given up less than 18 points per game on the season. The Patriots have been led by Michael Roberts and their linebacker corps. Roberts leads the Patriots with 98 tackles on the year. Nick Cramer and Cruze Kerrigan have added 75 and 74 tackles, respectively. Page has also forced 16 turnovers, 8 interceptions and 8 fumble recoveries on the season. Dillon Myers leads the Patriots with 3 interceptions on the season. One weakness for the Patriots has been in sack numbers, as the Patriots have only 4 sacks on the season. Against a balanced Hurricane offense that has only averaged 21 points per game, the Patriot defense looks to feast on East Hamilton.

Page looks to have an advantage talent-wise and the advantage of playing at home. With a 70% chance of rain on Friday night, Page has the backfield to run past the Hurricanes. The winner of this game will face the winner of Stone Memorial-Giles County in the next round.
