Panera Bread Likely Coming to Spring Hill

On Monday night the Spring Hill Planning Commission will consider a request for a project in The Crossings.

The site plan calls for a Panera and a Visionworks.

Alderman and Planning Commissioner Jonathan Duda broke the news on his Facebook page:

The lot is at 2012 Crossings Circle and contains 1.25 acres. Plans, submitted by GreenbergFarrow, call for a 6,483 square foot building with space for Panera on one side and a Visionworks on the other. Panera will have a two-lane drive through, according to plans.

“Panera has been looking at Spring Hill for several years, so it is great news they are finally here,” Mayor Rick Graham said. “They will be a nice addition to our dining options.”
Among the comments to Duda’s post were concerns that have come up at planning commission meetings: entrance and egress from The Crossings.
Currently there is only one way in and out from the shopping center, which has caused concern about traffic.
According to Graham, that is currently being worked on.
“We are working on a 2nd and 3rd entrance/exit to The Crossings, to let people know,” he said.
There are no definite plans yet, but he said the city is well aware of concerns.

Planners will vote on the plans tonight. Construction could start shortly after approval.
