Page’s Jacob Van Landingham scored a pair of touchdowns, but the Patriots lost 30-21 at Shelbyville Central on Friday night.
Page trailed 20-14 at half, but quarterback Cade Walker’s 24-yard run was the Patriots’ only second-half touchdown.
Page’s Jacob Van Landingham returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a score, giving the Patriots a quick 7-0 lead.
That was quickly erased when Shelbyville scored 10 unanswered points, including a 27-yard field goal set up by a Page fumble at its 10.
Van Landingham added a 17-yard quarterback keeper to put Page up again, but the Eagles answered with a touchdown off a blocked punt and a field goal to re-take a 20-14 lead.
The Patriots’ Bubba Johnson ran 20 times for 131 yards. Walker completed 15-0f-21 passes for 151 yards, but was intercepted twice.
Quincy Compton had a first-half interception for Page, and Luke Bowers added 15 tackles (13 solo) and a sack for the Patriots.
Page hosts Columbia Central next week.
