Ravenwood’s Cam Scherer and Anthony Holmes each scored two touchdowns, as the Raptors knocked off previously-unbeaten Page, 46-21, on Friday.
The Raptors (3-1) closed strong, breaking open a close game in the second half. It’s Ravenwood’s third-straight win.
Quarterback Jacob Van Landingham had a 52-yard, third-quarter scoring run, bringing Page within two at 23-21.
But Ravenwood answered with a pair of touchdowns, the last coming from Scherer, as the Ravens opened up a 33-21 lead.
Ravenwood’s Nick Stallcup and Jordan Smith added fourth-quarter scores to extend the margin.
Holmes opened the game with a rushing touchdown just 1:37 into the game, but Page answered to tie when Bubba Johnson scored on a 9-yard run.
That was one of two Holmes touchdowns in the first half.
Scherer added a long scoring run for the Raptors. Kicker Sam French had his extra point blocked, but he added a field goal in the half’s final minute to put Ravenwood up 24-14 at the break.
Quincy Brock-Compton had a six-yard touchdown in the first half for Page.
Colby Burns had a first-half interception for Page.
Page (3-1) travels to Antioch next week, while Ravenwood travels to Brentwood.
