Page’s Bubba Johnson scored on a 10-yard run in overtime, helping Page to a 27-21 win at Gallatin in the first round of the TSSAA playoffs on Friday.

The Patriots staved off a furious rally by the Green Wave, which scored all its points in the fourth quarter.

Johnson ran 25 times for 87 yards and caught two passes for 15. Page quarterback Cade Walker hit 14-of-25 throws for 149 yards and a touchdown to Will Pierce, who caught five balls for 76.

The Patriots will now meed Summit (9-2), a 42-7 victor over Hillwood in its playoff tilt.

Page kicker Bryson Stremler hit a 33-yard field goal for a 13-0 lead with 3:14 left in the third quarter.

But a pair of Gallatin touchdowns, the second coming on Ladarius Stewart’s 10-yard run, helped the Green Wave to a 14-13 second-half lead.

Page scored first in the game’s opening minutes, when the Green Wave fumbled in their end zone, and the Patriots’ Quincy Compton recovered and returned for a 6-yard touchdown.

Stremler’s 36-yard field goal in the second quarter made the lead 10.

Page’s Colby Burns had a first-half interception, and Jacob Van Landingham had one in the second period.

The Patriots’ Austin Harshaw had a second-half fumble recovery and led Page with 10 total tackles, seven solo.
