Page earns playoff spot with win over Spring Hill

Quarterback Zak Mizell went 18-for-31 for 273 yards and one interception, and he threw four touchdown passes to give Page a 27-12 victory over Spring Hill and a playoff berth Friday night.

Spring Hill (1-9, 0-5 District 12-AA) took a 12-7 led in the third quarter over Pagewhen Jezzarius Allen caught a 14-yard pass from quarterback TylinOden. But Mizell lead the Page offense by throwing three of his four touchdown passes in the third quarter, giving the Patriots a 27-12 lead before the end.

On the passing front, Page (5-5, 2-3) had the decisive advantage as Oden only had 87 yards, fewer than Page’s leading receiver Michael Roberts. Roberts caught three passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

The Patriots will face a tough opponent as they travel to face 8-2 White House Friday night in the opening round of the TSSAA playoffs. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
