The Page Patriots rebounded Friday to stay undefeated in Region 4-4A.

After a loss to Class 2A Forrest in Week 4, the Patriots (2-2, 2-0) traveled Friday to Lawrence County (1-4, 0-2) and spoiled the Wildcats’ homecoming night with a 20-7 win.

The win sends Page to 2-0 in the region and keeps it in a tie with Marshall County atop the standings.

A strong defensive effort guided the Patriots against Lawrence County. The Wildcats gained just 165 yards of total offense (147 rushing, 18 passing) in 49 plays.

Offensively, quarterback Jacob Van Landingham and running back Donald Johnson led the way for Page.

Van Landingham finished with 116 yards through the air and 40 yards on the ground. He scored three times (two rushing) and threw one interception. Andrew Metkler was his top receiver with 60 yards on two catches with a score.

Johnson took 15 carries for 124 yards.

The Patriots travel next week to BGA (4-1) for a non-region matchup. It will be their second of four straight games on the road.
